WILLIAM BUENO - Founder of Guitar Corner Music School - is originally from Santander, Colombia and began his music career as a student at AMMUS, a music academy in Bucaramanga. Upon graduation, William sought to further his music education at Berklee College of Music, and in 2020 was accepted at Longy School of Music of Bard College, where he pursued his Master’s degree in Jazz composition and Performance. At the same time he became a Certified Music Practitioner through Music for Healing and Transition Program institute. He loves to help people achieve his goals and dreams in the beautiful path of music. With more than 7 years of experience as a teacher, he wants to show his students how important and strong the influence of art is in each person's daily routine, hobby or on a professional level. CHRISTIANA GOSLIN BUENO - Funder of Guitar Corner Music School - began her performance journey in musical theater as a girl. Through Metropolitan Opera singer, international performer and coincidentally her hometown mentor and teacher, Gwynne Geyer, she discovered a love for classical singing--especially how it involved storytelling in multiple languages and connected to folk music. 

Now, she volleys between performing in operas, collaborating on multi-disciplinary concerts, & teaching voice. In the Boston area, you may have seen Christiana as Barbarina (Susanna Cover) in NEMPAC’s production of Le Nozze di Figaro, the Boston Opera Collaborative’s critically acclaimed annual festival of ten-minute operas: Opera Bites, or in excerpts from The Rake’s Progress and Der Freischütz under the baton of Ryan Turner. She was a 2023 semifinalist in the Lyndon Woodside Oratorio Competition (NYC). In 2022, she won the MassOpera Competition Audience Favorite and Encouragement Awards and played the title role in Libby Larsen’s The Silver Fox (Longy School of Music). Other credits: The Turn of the Screw (Miles), Alcina (Oberto), La Rondine (Chorus), etc. Christiana earned her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from the Eastman School of Music and completed her Master of Music in Vocal Performance at the Longy School of Music.

DR. GONZALO ARIAS - world wide acclaimed Chilean classical guitarist recognized for his expressive musicianship, technical mastery, and distinguished international academic background. He holds a Doctor of Musical Arts from the University of Georgia (USA), a Master of Music from the University of Wisconsin, a Performer Diploma from Indiana University, and a Bachelor of Arts from the Faculty of Arts at the University of Chile.

 

Arias has received more than twenty international awards throughout his career. His honors include First Prize at the J. S. Bach Guitar Competition in Japan, First Prize at the Louisville Guitar Competition, and First Prize at the Troy Guitar Competition. He also earned Second Prize at the GFA Youth Solo Competition, Second Prize at the Montreal Guitar Competition in Canada, Second Prize at the María Luisa Anido Competition in Argentina, and Second Prize at the José Tomás Competition in Spain, among many other distinctions.

 

As a soloist, Gonzalo Arias has performed in China, Japan, India, Qatar, England, and Chile, appearing in renowned concert halls and cultural institutions. His work has also reached broader audiences through appearances on major television networks, including ESPN, TVN, Canal 13, and CHV Noticias.

 

Arias has shared the stage with internationally celebrated artists such as Julianne Moore, Viggo Mortensen, and Meryl Streep in “Truth Speak to Power” at the Public Theater in New York, one of the most noteworthy interdisciplinary collaborations of his career.

 

Alongside his performance career, he remains deeply committed to music education, offering masterclasses, workshops, and mentoring to young guitarists. His unique combination of artistic depth, academic rigor, and cross-cultural experience has positioned him as one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary classical guitar, both in Chile and abroad.

LINA SARMIENTO - is a versatile Colombian soprano with a passion for music, theater,
and creative expression. She has performed in operas, zarzuelas, sacred music, and
musicals across Latin America and the United States. Her repertoire includes solo
roles in pieces such as Schumann's Requiem für Mignon, Rutter’s Requiem, and
Faure's Pie Jesu. Lina has also portrayed characters in operas and zarzuelas, including
La corte del faraón, La leyenda del beso, Suor Angelica, and Hänsel und Gretel.

With a strong foundation in vocal performance, she holds a master's degree from
Longy School of Music of Bard College, where she refined her artistry both on stage
and as a stage manager, most notably for the opera Elixir of Love in Florida. Lina is
also a passionate educator, bringing dynamic and innovative methods to her teaching,
helping students unlock their potential through creative engagement.

Her artistic journey is complemented by her experience in theater and drawing, where
she explores the intersection of different art forms to deepen her understanding of
identity and expression. Fluent in English and a native Spanish speaker, Lina
continues to develop her craft and share her love for music and the arts with students
and audiences alike.

JUAN TAPIAS - Is originally from Colombia, is a professional musician, session musician, composer, arranger, and music teacher with over 10 years of experience giving private lessons and 6 years leading guitar and ukulele ensembles, rock bands, and youth orchestras. He holds a degree in contemporary music. He has participated in albums such as "Muskupay Muyu - Tamya Moran," "Afro Kichwa - Runa Jazz," and "Canto de libertad - Sophya Ramirez (Alma con voz)," and collaborated on recordings with Arupo, “Ilyari y los cuatro suyos”, Romina Calleris, Sideral, and Damian Tayupanda. He has performed at festivals such as QuitoJazz (Ecuador) and the "Primer encuentro de gaitas de la mitad del mundo," (Ecuador),  among others.

AMAURY CABRAL - From Santo Domingo, the capital city of the Dominican Republic to the capital city of the State of Massachusetts in the United States, Boston, Amaury Cabral Jorge has touched multiple hearts with his music. In 2016 he was admitted to the "Conservatorio Nacional de Musica de Santo Domingo" (National Conservatory of Music of Santo Domingo), where he studied for four years in the Popular and Folkloric Music program with concentration in Guitar Performance. In 2019 Cabral was selected as one winner of the AES scholarship, a presidential scholarship for the Berklee College of Music Five-Week Summer Performance Intensive program, and while attending  this program he auditioned for the undergraduate program at this institution. He was accepted and offered a Full-Tuition Scholarship, completing a Bachelor of Music degree in 2025. Cabral has performed in big venues internationally such as the "Estadio Olimpico" in Santo Domingo, Scullers Jazz Club, Jimmy's Jazz and Blues, Keystone Corner, Dizzy's Club and Smalls Jazz Club, as well as renowned venues in Europe with master musicians like Terri Lyne Carrington, Etienne Charles, Tia Fuller, Mimi Jones among others. He has worked in recording sessions with musicians such as Mike Pope, Nate Smith, Randy Brecker and Geoffrey Keezer. Cabral has been mentored by masters like Nir Felder, Oz Noy, Tim Miller, Matthew Stevens, Ed Tomassi, Jacques Schwart-Bartz, Godwin Louis, Nicholas Payton and Terri Lyne Carrington, to name a few, and has been part of classes/clinics with the likes of Kurt Rosenwinkel, Wolfgang Muthspiel and Gilad Hekselman. CHRIS RAMUSIEWICZ - has been giving private instruction for guitar and bass ever since graduating from the University of Massachusetts-Boston in 2012 with a BA in Music, in both group and one-on-one settings, and with students of all ages and backgrounds. Since starting out in teaching, he has grown to love the feeling of seeing a student grasp a new concept, especially if it’s been a previously frustrating issue for that person. Chris has also been an avid composer and performer, dabbling in styles from metal, pop, solo finger-style guitar, and even synthesizer heavy electronic music.
